Technical and safety aspects

The Trader has an obligation to create an interface at its Internet store which will guide the buyer through the process of browsing through and ordering products/services, after he/she has connected to the Internet point of sale. At the moment of payment, the buyer is redirected to protected page of the Processing Centre, where he/she enters payment card data (card number, date of validity, cvv).  When the processing of transaction terminates, the buyer is redirected to the Internet point of sale i.e. on the side of the Trader.  Thus, Traders do not have additional responsibility for keeping confidential payment card data, which protects them against possible abuse of the card which may occur at the moment of compromising of this confidential data.

The implementation of the e-commerce service at the Internet point of sale is very simple. The Bank provides all consultant services necessary during the implementation of the service.

For the e-commerce service, UNIBank has implemented 3D Secure technology which includes additional methods of authentication (МasterCard Secure code) of the payment cards holders.  The implementation of 3D Secure technology also protects the Trader in the process of buying against eventual abuse of payment cards passing through the Internet point of sale.
In addition to the abovementioned, another safety measure, 128Bit SSL, is implemented, which is necessary in the communication between the Buyer and the Processing Centre.
